By Jorge Milante
Watercolor on Paper
Watercolor is one of the safest painting mediums, with the smallest impact on the environment. No toxic solvents or polymers are used, unlike oil or acrylic paints. The addition of water to minimal pigment makes it economically and environmentally friendly. The understated translucent - and even transparent - colors are hallmarks of beautiful watercolor art.
The Egrets are a species of birds that call the mangroves home. Because of the shallow waters and exposed mudflats, its easier for them to hunt for prey that the mangrove eco system provides, such as prawns and shrimp. With its agile movements it can easily grasp for its food underwater at it flies close to the waters’ surface.
